Compensation: £400 - £450 per day
Position Overview
The Resolute Group is collaborating with a subcontractor that operates a National Highways division, executing a variety of projects ranging from Frameworks to significant undertakings. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a small team of two junior Quantity Surveyors, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks.
Your responsibilities will include assisting the Quantity Surveyors in bridging skill gaps, reviewing accounts, and ensuring compliance with project requirements. You will engage directly in larger projects valued at £5m or Frameworks that necessitate additional oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of Quantity Surveyors managing ongoing Highway projects and other minor assignments.
- Review and manage detailed bills of quantities and cost breakdowns.
- Track project expenditures in relation to your assigned scope of work.
- Assist in managing subcontractor costs and processing payments.
- Address and manage variations, claims, and any contractual matters that may arise.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to the Quantity Surveyors, focusing on their professional development.
- Establish and maintain robust relationships with stakeholders, both internally and with external subcontractors.
This position is office-based, necessitating your presence to effectively support your Quantity Surveyors, thus requiring a reasonable commuting distance to the office.
Qualifications / Experience
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a track record of developing junior staff.
- Possession of a valid driving license.
