About the Role
Skanska, a leading project development and construction company, is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our building services team at a major hospital facility.
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for undertaking a range of electrical engineering maintenance activities, adhering to all relevant safety standards and procedures, to ensure a safe working environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake essential repair works and general maintenance activities as requested by the Works Controller.
- Action planned maintenance schedules under the instruction of the Electrical Supervisor.
- Undertake planned maintenance works as directed by the Electrical Supervisor.
- Assist colleagues and contractors where other skills are required.
- Conduct safety checks and tests on completion of maintenance tasks and document accordingly.
- Liaise with the Electrical Supervisor regarding plant or equipment failures and request materials, spares, and services as necessary.
Requirements
- Experience working in a hospital environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of H&S, Quality, and Environmental standards and procedures.
