Electronics Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Principal Electronics Engineer to join our team at Endeavour Resourcing Solutions Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronics for instrumentation and acoustics applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team to ensure project assignments are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement technical standards and guidelines for software design and development.
- Collaborate with the Director of Engineering to coordinate electronics engineering projects and tasks.
- Participate in risk assessments and mitigation activities to ensure the success of projects.
- Provide technical support to sales and manufacturing departments.
- Expertise in analogue and digital circuit design, preferably in an instrumentation development environment.
- Experience with mixed signal design, including pre-amplifiers, filters, power supplies, interfacing, and analogue-digital conversion for precision instrumentation applications.
- Knowledge of microcontroller-based circuit design and embedded software.
- Experience with FPGA-based circuit design is desirable.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, contributing to all aspects of the product development cycle.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of basic analog components and circuits.
- Operational amplifier circuits.
- Power supply technology.
- Circuit analysis, modelling, and theory.
- Analog-Digital Conversion.
- Interfacing and IO (e.g. I2C and SPI bus).
- CAD Schematic layout.
- CAD PCB design.
- Fault finding.
- Assembler and/or embedded C.
- Use of PAL/FPGA technologies.
- Linux and other OS.
- Highly self-motivated with energy, pace, and enthusiasm.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplined team.
- Attention to detail and time management skills.
- Good written and presentational communication skills.
- Occasional need for working outside normal working hours.
- Occasional travel to customer sites.
- Occasional off-shore support, including some overseas travel.
Qualifications: BSc/BEng or equivalent in Engineering or similar discipline (2:1 or higher). Security Clearance: UK passport holder, capable of gaining National Security Vetting SC clearance. 5 years residency in UK required.
