Pensions Programme Manager / Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Pensions Programme Manager / Director to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading large-scale technical projects or workstreams, including offshore teams, and will be able to demonstrate full commitment to providing exceptional customer care and service in all activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Securing investment required to set up and run the programme, and fund the deployment activities so that the desired benefits are realised
  • Day-to-day management of the programme, including taking the programme forward from appointment and supervising, controlling and closing the programme
  • Providing clear leadership and direction throughout the life of the programme, ensuring successful delivery of the new capability
  • Establishing the programme's governance arrangements and ensuring appropriate assurance is in place
  • Implementing agreed recommendations to improve delivery confidence
  • Ensuring the viability of the business case and maintaining alignment of the programme with the business strategy and purpose
  • Ensuring that the delivery of outputs or services from the projects meets programme requirements in line with the programme blueprint and projects dossier, and is to the appropriate quality, on time and within budget
Requirements:
  • Leadership skills and gravitas to operate comfortably with senior colleagues, up to and including Executive Officer level
  • Ability to inspire and motivate delivery professionals across the business
  • Personable and pro-active professional, able to demonstrate full commitment to providing exceptional customer care and service in all activities
  • Financial Services experience essential
  • Experience in leading large-scale technical projects or workstreams, including offshore teams
  • Outcome focused and able to make tactical decisions, within their area of discretion, to ensure that the overall project aims (and therefore the aims of the programme) are met in full
  • Familiarity with operating in complex and large-scale organisational environments
