About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Headteacher to lead Plympton Academy, a mixed secondary school for students aged 11-16. As a key member of the Thinking Schools Academy Trust (TSAT), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our academy.

The successful candidate will be a transformational leader with a proven track record of driving school improvement. They will be responsible for developing and implementing a forward-thinking vision for the academy, fostering a culture of excellence and high expectations for all students.

The ideal candidate will possess high levels of emotional intelligence, effective team leadership skills, and excellent public speaking abilities. They will be a passionate advocate for our school within the wider community and have a deep understanding of the curriculum demands and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the improvement journey by driving initiatives that transform teaching and learning, enhance student engagement, and elevate overall school performance.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all students, regardless of their prior attainment and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Build strong relationships with staff, parents, and the wider community to ensure that our pupils receive an outstanding education.
  • Collaborate with the TSAT team to share best practices and drive improvement across the trust.
