The Smartlist is a reputable institution focused on providing quality education for young adults, and we are looking for dedicated Cleaners to support our operations.

This role is for college staff during term time only, with regular working hours from Monday to Friday, 4 PM to 7 PM. The position involves ensuring that the premises are kept in pristine condition, and if you enjoy being hands-on, this could be the perfect fit for you.

As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in our institution. In this permanent position, you will be entrusted with maintaining cleanliness in both student and staff areas, ensuring they are always presentable and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness of the college buildings and grounds under the guidance of the cleaning supervisors.
  • Assist the Estates department with routine tasks as needed.
  • Cover for absent colleagues within your scheduled hours when necessary.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations as established by the institution.
  • Follow all policies and procedures set forth by the college.
  • Engage in training and professional development activities relevant to your role.
  • Comply with the college's safeguarding policies to contribute to a safe learning environment.

Salary: £7,936 per annum (equivalent to £11.83 per hour)
Hours: 15 hours per week, term time only, Monday - Friday 4 PM - 7 PM.

This position is permanent and will commence upon completion of pre-employment checks.
