Job Title: Financial Controller

A leading finance recruitment partner, Kenton Black Finance, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join their client's team in Cumbria. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to take ownership of the finance function for one of the company's sizeable manufacturing divisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Line management of a team of experienced finance professionals
  • Overseeing the production of financial reports and management accounts
  • Leading the year-end and audit process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Regular liaison with senior management to evaluate spend against sales performance and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Management of cash forecast submissions and budgeting process
  • Responsibility for VAT processing and reporting
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant controls, regulations, and procedures
  • Management of inventory and implementation of process improvements
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally with CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualification
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Ability to implement and improve financial systems and processes
  • Future career progression anticipated as the business continues to grow
