Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at First Recruitment Group. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing quality management processes across all departments, ensuring compliance with quality standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and mature the Programme Integrated Management System
- Develop, tailor, and implement the Quality Management Plan and supporting processes across the Programme
- Prepare, shape, and maintain key Programme IMS documents, including quality objectives, performance measures, plans, and procedures
- Conduct internal quality and supplier audits and management reviews to verify compliance with procedures and identify process improvements
- Support the Head of Engineering on Life Cycle Management (LCM) maturity/design reviews in accordance with Approving Authorities requirements
- Lead on QA and QC management activities within Implementation to ensure quality requirements are included within Supply Chain contracts
- Provide Supply Chain quality management, including tender workshops, reviewing tenders, specification reviews, and factory acceptance testing
- Monitor product quality verification activities, including Contractor/Supplier Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and document reviews, audits, and surveillance visits, to ensure products and services comply with contractual requirements
- Liaise with Government Quality Assurance Representatives (GQR) and other quality representatives, and lead the Programme Quality Forum
- Support individuals with the experience and qualifications necessary to discharge the role of the NEC4 Supervisor on behalf of the Client, ensuring the works are provided in accordance with the Scope
Requirements:
- Full understanding and implementation of Management Systems and ISO 9001:2015
- 10 years' experience in Quality Management, managing all aspects of quality management, including Quality Assurance and Quality Control
- 5 years' experience working in a client organisation leading and driving the quality of the supply chain
- Understanding of Naval Base and nuclear compliance, legislation, quality, and safety
- Good IT skills, proficient using Word, Excel, SharePoint, and other Microsoft tools
- Technical report writing skills
- Ability to manage a small team
Desirable:
- Experience on large-scale construction projects
- Successfully completed recognised Lead Auditor course
- Associated professional membership in an appropriate discipline
