Birmingham, Birmingham, United Kingdom Arup Full time
Infrastructure Engagement and Communication Specialist

Arup is a global firm with a rich history of shaping a better world through our work in infrastructure, consulting, and design. Our purpose, shared values, and collaborative approach have guided us for over 75 years, driving our commitment to excellence and innovation.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our growing Stakeholder Engagement and Communications team in Birmingham. As an Infrastructure Engagement and Communication Specialist, you will be part of our Cities, Planning, and Design area, working on some of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.

Reporting to the Midlands Engagement Lead, you will be a key member of the team, managing existing projects and client relationships, and helping to build and grow this area of the business. You will be responsible for stakeholder engagement, communications, and community relations on complex infrastructure projects, taking clients through the consenting process.

With a background in infrastructure stakeholder engagement and a passion for developing and delivering effective and innovative communications, you will be able to engage and consult with a range of audiences. You will possess strong written and influencing skills, managing consultation analysis, reporting requirements, client relationship management, and supporting the development of junior colleagues.

This role offers opportunities for travel to client sites across the UK and a flexible working model, with 2 days per week in the office or client office, and days spent working from home. You will be based in our brand new Birmingham office, with a supportive team of engagement specialists.

As an Infrastructure Engagement and Communication Specialist, you will be a key contributor to our team's success, helping to shape the future of infrastructure and make a positive impact on communities. If you have a background in infrastructure stakeholder engagement, are passionate about developing and delivering effective communications, and can demonstrate experience of engaging and consulting with a range of audiences, this may be the role for you.
