We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Vision for Education - Leeds/Bradford. As an Autism Support Worker, you will be working closely with a school in the Leeds area that caters for a wide range of Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support to students with autism and other special educational needs
  • Develop and implement effective behavior management strategies to promote positive learning environments
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to deliver tailored educational programs
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless support
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with autism and other special educational needs
  • Strong knowledge of behavior management strategies and restorative practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Desirable: driving license and experience working with secondary-aged students
