About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Vision for Education - Leeds/Bradford. As an Autism Support Worker, you will be working closely with a school in the Leeds area that caters for a wide range of Special Educational Needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality support to students with autism and other special educational needs
- Develop and implement effective behavior management strategies to promote positive learning environments
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to deliver tailored educational programs
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless support
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with autism and other special educational needs
- Strong knowledge of behavior management strategies and restorative practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Desirable: driving license and experience working with secondary-aged students
