About the Role

IC Resources is seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer to join our team in supporting the development of cutting-edge optical materials. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning board and system-level test equipment for our innovative products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design, build, and commission test equipment to ensure high-quality products.
  • Test Specifications and Data Packs: Generate test specifications and create comprehensive manufacturing data packs for test equipment.
  • Tool Development: Develop tools, methods, and techniques to enhance test equipment design and improve efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Strategy: Collaborate with the wider engineering team to develop a design-for-test (DFT) strategy for new products and ensure technical compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all technical compliance and regulatory standards are met, including the maintenance of relevant test documentation and certifications.
  • External Testing: Coordinate and manage external laboratory testing to ensure products meet all regulatory approvals.
  • Regulatory Guidance: Guide engineers on regulatory compliance during product development.
Requirements
  • Test Engineering Experience: Experience as a test engineer with knowledge of regulatory & compliance procedures in an industrial environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in microcontrollers, FPGA, CPLD, mixed analog and digital circuit designs, ADC, and DAC.
  • Communication Protocols: Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, CAN Bus, I2C, SPI, and USB.
  • Design Tools: Experience in schematic capture, PCB design, and layout tools.
  • Software Design: Practical experience in software design for test equipment, including scripting languages, C and C++, and in-circuit debugging (ICD).
  • Debugging Skills: Strong debugging skills with the ability to integrate and validate electronics and system designs.
