The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) is seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities across its diverse supply chain. The successful candidate will ensure that Museum-wide procurement activities are performed in compliance with all relevant policies and procedures and that value for money is achieved.
Key Responsibilities- Support staff from across the Museum with procurement activities covering the whole procurement cycle.
- Ensure compliance with the Museum's Finance Operating Manual, relevant regulations and additional considerations as required.
- Manage the end-to-end management of routine procurement projects and develop procurement strategies for complex needs.
- Identify appropriate routes to market for high-value, high-complexity procurements and most appropriate public sector frameworks where relevant.
- Support procuring teams in the completion of framework schedules, including advice on consideration of KPIs, commercial and contractual aspects in consultation with wider teams and other stakeholders as required.
- Create and maintain procurement pipelines for key operational departments.
- Identify opportunities to improve the Museum's supply chain to maximise effectiveness and value for money.
- Take on contract management responsibilities for cross-departmental contracts such as travel management.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in a Finance or procurement department with sound knowledge of procurement principles and procedures.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build and maintain good working relationships within the Museum.
- Diligent and conscientious with excellent attention to detail.
