Position: Support Worker


Overview

We are seeking a full-time Support Worker to assist individuals in leading an independent and fulfilling lifestyle. This role involves providing essential support in various daily activities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.


Key Responsibilities


As a Support Worker, your duties will include:

  • Performing household tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
  • Accompanying the employer for shopping and outdoor activities.
  • Facilitating appointments and leisure activities.


Support Areas


You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with mobility to ensure safety.
  • Providing personal care as needed.
  • Engaging in activities that promote well-being.
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic living space.


Additional Responsibilities


Other essential tasks include:

  • Ensuring a safe working environment and addressing health and safety concerns.
  • Helping manage health risks effectively.
  • Establishing and maintaining clear communication.
  • Upholding confidentiality at all times.


Work Environment

This position will be based within the employer's residence.


Compensation and Hours

The role requires weekend availability, with hours to be discussed directly with the employer. The pay rate is £11.44 per hour.


Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Experience in providing care services.
  • Consistency and motivation in their work.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • A good sense of humor and patience.
  • The ability to understand and meet the employer's needs.
  • Capability to perform domestic tasks.
  • Flexibility, reliability, and honesty.
  • Good physical fitness.
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required.
