Role Overview:
This position presents a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic and rapidly growing industry. We are seeking a dedicated Plumbing & Heating Engineer with experience in domestic settings, eager to transition into the Renewable Energy field.

Main Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will join our installation team during a phase of significant expansion. Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing heat pump installations across various domestic and larger commercial sites.
  • Installing all necessary pipework integral to the heat pump system, including connections from the manifold to the buffer tank and full distribution systems.
  • Interpreting mechanical schematic drawings accurately.
  • Ensuring on-site health and safety compliance in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintaining the quality and compliance of the installed systems.

Key Tasks:
The ideal candidate will possess a meticulous attention to detail, a systematic approach, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Responsibilities will include:

  • Plumbing and heating tasks.
  • Installation of domestic-sized ground source heat pumps.
  • Installation of commercial-sized GSHP plant rooms.
  • Executing first fix pipework for heating and radiators.
  • Adhering to high standards and current regulations.
  • Following the established programme of works.
  • Collaborating with a wider team of installers.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home as necessary.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have:

  • A background in plumbing and heating, preferably with experience in renewable technologies.
  • Experience as a domestic plumber with a solid understanding of heating systems and their distribution, including underfloor heating.
  • NVQ in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent qualifications).
  • BPEC certification in heat pumps (desirable).
  • Experience with unvented hot water systems.
  • Background in heating installation, service, and maintenance.

Compensation Package:
We offer a competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £42,000, commensurate with experience, along with:

  • 25 days of annual leave plus statutory holidays.
  • A monthly contribution of £30 towards phone contracts.
  • A full-time position with a company van provided.
  • A project-specific bonus scheme.
