We are seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse Specialist to join our team at Spire Nottingham Hospital. As a Cardiology Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth of our cardiac service.
About the RoleThis is a bank position, offering flexible working hours to cover busy periods, sickness, or annual leave. You will work across various areas of the hospital, including cardiology pre-assessment, cardiac catheter lab, cardiac outpatients, theatres, and supporting the wards with cardiac patients.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake clinical procedures that require dexterity and accuracy, including scrubbing for basic and complex interventional cardiology procedures.
- Assist in non-invasive cardiology services within the Outpatient Department and Surgical Ward departments.
- Pre-assess cath lab patients and provide expert care.
- Contribute to a regional centre of excellence approach to the service.
- Current TAVI experience, including scrub trolley preparation and TAVI valve preparation.
- Formal signoff from a leading manufacturer for independent valve preparation and loading.
- Current NMC registration with no restrictions on practice.
- At least 2 years' experience within a cardiac catheter lab, scrubbing for routine and complex cardiology procedures.
- ALS trained.
- Capable and confident, with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Flexible approach to work and working patterns.
