You will be responsible for overseeing employee relations cases, ensuring HR compliance, and supporting the Operations team in executing key HR tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Compliance: Conduct regular audits to ensure staff files are accurate and comply with company procedures and UK employment law. Maintain up-to-date contracts of employment, staff handbooks, and ensure ongoing compliance with legal requirements.
  • Operational Support: Collaborate with the Operations team to manage day-to-day HR tasks, including addressing employee concerns and supporting recruitment processes. Administer employee surveys and enhance internal communication efforts within the organization.
  • Employee Relations: Lead the handling of disciplinary and grievance matters, ensuring that procedures are followed correctly and consistently. Oversee investigations and ensure thorough documentation for employee relations issues.
  • People Metrics: Collect, organize, and analyze data related to key HR metrics, such as employee turnover, retention, and absence. Identify trends and areas for improvement based on these metrics and report findings to the Operations team and management.
  • Process Support: Oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring seamless transitions for new and departing employees. Manage the administration of performance management processes and employee recognition programs.
  • Policies and Procedures: Ensure that company policies and procedures are consistently followed, providing leadership in implementing updates as needed. Lead the roll-out of new policies across departments, ensuring clear communication and adherence.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on operational effectiveness.
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and growth within the HR function.
  • Experience in a similar HR generalist role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with HR software, such as Fourth, is advantageous but not essential.
  • In-depth understanding of HR principles, key people metrics, and HR compliance.
  • CIPD Level 3 or equivalent qualification is preferred, or a willingness to work towards it.
