Mobile Transport Refrigeration Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Mobile Refrigeration Engineer to join our team, covering the South West and Wales regions.

This role is ideal for an experienced Transport Refrigeration Engineer, although consideration will be given to Motor Vehicle Technicians looking to transition into the Transport Refrigeration industry.

As a Mobile Refrigeration Engineer, you will report to the Regional Business Manager and work as part of a team to maintain and repair Thermo King Refrigeration equipment used on large distribution vehicles.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installation, servicing, and repair of vehicle-powered road transport refrigeration units to minimize costs and maximize revenue generation.
  • Optimizing and maintaining engineer van stock to ensure efficient service delivery to MFS customers.
  • Liaising with central control and/or the service centre regarding job start and completion times, downtime, and overtime authorization.

Desirable qualifications include GCSEs in Mathematics and English, F-Gas 2079, electrical and mechanical certificates, and a clean UK driving license.

This role requires extensive travel, including overnight stays, and working on customer sites. Participation in an on-call roster, including overtime, working nights, and weekends, is also required.
