About the Role

The City of Lincoln Council is seeking an experienced finance professional to join our Financial Services Team in an ambitious and high-performing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to all aspects of the financial standing, management and reporting of the Council's financial resources.
  • Support the delivery of a comprehensive finance service, with particular focus on providing advice and analysis for all aspects of revenue planning, monitoring and accounting.
  • Develop business cases and projects, and contribute to the preparation of statutory accounts, budget preparation and budgetary control.
  • Provide innovative and analytical solutions to complex financial problems, and build effective relationships at all levels.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified CCAB accountant with excellent technical accounting skills.
  • Significant experience of the preparation of statutory accounts, budget preparation and budgetary control.
  • Proficient in the use of computerised financial systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage both your own and your team's workload.
