Job Type: Temporary / Ongoing

Location: Sleaford

Salary: £15.00 per hour

Shift Length: 10 hours per shift

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver Shunter to join our team based in Sleaford. As a Shunter, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of multiple loads between our depot and a nearby client, located approximately 10 miles away.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely shunt trailers between our depot and the client's location
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
  • Ensure loads are secure and properly distributed before transit
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and logs accurately
  • Communicate effectively with the transport team to ensure smooth operations

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) Driving License
  • Proven experience as a Class 1 Driver or Shunter
  • Good knowledge of vehicle safety and road traffic regulations
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work 10-hour shifts on a regular basis
