About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Administrator to join our team at Better Days Recruitment. This is a fixed-term contract for 12-14 months, and the ideal candidate will start within the next month.

The successful candidate will be based at our Head Office in Surrey, working closely with our busy and supportive HR Team. You will be responsible for supporting 4 companies with over 500 staff, and will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, including:

Key Responsibilities
  • Onboarding new starters, including checking right to work documentation and leaver administration
  • Maintenance of employee files and records
  • Drafting of new employment contracts and different types of employment change letters
  • Holiday and salary calculations and payroll liaison
  • Knowledge and experience of employment Law

You will have the opportunity to work in a diverse and busy environment, supporting great employees and contributing to the success of our organization. The role offers hybrid working, with two days in the office and three days working from home.

Requirements
  • Solid experience as an HR Administrator is essential
  • Already possess or working towards level 3 CIPD as a minimum
  • Knowledge of employment law and associated processes
  • Management of new starters and leavers administration
  • Drafting of employment contracts and different types of employment change letters
  • Proficient in all Microsoft packages
  • Experience of checking right to work documents, recording and filing
  • Experience of holiday and salary calculations to include pro-rata's
  • Experience of liaising with payroll
  • Confident in using a HRIS
  • Onboarding of new starts is highly desirable
  • Experience with recruitment across all departments is desirable
  • Experience with taking disciplinary notes is desirable
  • Experience of maternity cases and well-being initiatives is desirable
  • Highly organized and efficient
  • Pro-active, good listener with excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong collaborative team player
  • Confident, friendly and approachable with a great sense of humour
  • Ability to work with people at all levels
  • High attention to detail
