Assembly Team Leader
We are seeking a skilled Assembly Operative who can not only assemble products with precision but also bring team leadership experience to the table. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading by example, ensuring accurate following of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and promoting a culture of excellence within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake one-to-one meetings, return to work interviews, and disciplinary meetings to promote a positive and productive work environment.
- Work alongside your team to assemble products, demonstrating a strong understanding of mechanical and electronic assembly principles.
- Lead team meetings to communicate overall team performance and implement new ideas to improve products and processes.
- Collaborate with fellow team leaders to ensure production flow is running smoothly and implement new ideas to improve products and processes.
- Ensure and monitor 5S activities, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Develop and implement training plans to support team progression and growth.
Requirements:
- Proven management or team leading experience within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electronic assembly principles.
- LEAN manufacturing experience is desirable.
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a structured and organized manner.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train, mentor, and present new ideas.
- Computer literate and able to use ERP systems.
- Ability to motivate and inspire others within the team.
