Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior R&D Tax Consultant to join our team at Leonid Group Ltd. As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in managing the end-to-end process with clients, from initial consultations to the submission of claims to HMRC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage client relationships and provide specialist advice on R&D tax reliefs, including technical, tax, and financial aspects.
  • Prepare and review written reports supporting claims for R&D tax reliefs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Meet with clients and stakeholders to discuss R&D reliefs, including finance and senior technical contacts.
  • Interview in-house technical staff to assess eligibility for R&D tax reliefs.
  • Work with clients to gather detailed financial, HR, and other data to facilitate relief calculations.
  • Prepare and review structured reports, including descriptions of R&D projects and eligibility for relief.
  • Contact and liaise with HM Revenue and Customs on behalf of clients, including attending meetings, telephone calls, and drafting written correspondence.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and language skills, with the ability to explain complex tax and technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience in writing technical documentation and professional correspondence.
  • Desirable experience in professional practice, accountancy, or tax roles, or experience dealing with HMRC.
