About the Role

We are seeking an IT Security Analyst to join our team at Loughborough University. As a key member of our IT Security Team, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations in our Security/Networks Operations Centre (SOC) initiative.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support key day-to-day operations in our SOC initiative
  • Investigate security/networks alerts and vulnerabilities
  • Undertake support tasks and engage with third parties
  • Develop and implement strategies to protect and secure our IT systems
About Your Team

You will be joining a team of 5 IT Security professionals who are responsible for providing expert advice to the wider IT Services department on securing the University's data and critical infrastructure.

Requirements
  • Interest and enthusiasm for IT, networking, and IT Security
  • Understanding of how IT systems and networks can be attacked and defended
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and SIEM solutions
  • Aptitude to go threat hunting for compromises, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data across multiple large datasets
