Job Title: Assistant Programme Officer Asia (fixed term 3 months duration)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Programme Officer to join our team in the Asia region. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Senior Programme Officer, Programme Officers, Regional Director, Deputy Regional Director, and other regional leaders and country teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage information received from country teams, ensuring quality control and facilitating its use across the organization.
  • Support the Senior Programme Officer and Programme Officers to provide secondary checks and ensure country teams adhere to internal and external policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate the development of selected proposals, monitoring timelines, status, and providing input into design and communication.
  • Review final drafts for coherence and donor requirements, and manage submission.
  • Act as a focal point for backstopping for Senior Programme Officer or Programme Officer during field trips or short-term absences.
Requirements:
  • BA/Sc in International Development or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Two years of demonstrated experience in a professional environment or providing administrative/coordination support.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with colleagues from various backgrounds and cultures.
  • Proficiency with MS Office software required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Prior NGO or international development experience preferred.
