Position Summary:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Civil Engineering Apprentice Technician to contribute to our operations, focusing on highways and transportation engineering services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering a variety of Transportation & Highway projects, including the development of drawings and designs across various stages (Concept, Preliminary & Detailed Design) in line with established standards and guidelines.
- Engage in AutoCAD drawing production, conduct site surveys, analyze data, and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Actively seek on-the-job training and formal educational opportunities that align with both the needs of the business and your personal development goals, including progression with a professional institution.
- Maintain flexibility and undertake additional duties as required to support the operations of the organization.
- Adhere to quality assurance systems and procedures.
- Fulfill all requirements set by the chosen training course and provider.
- Work towards the successful completion of your apprenticeship.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and policies.

Skills Development:
This role will enhance your skills and experience in:
- Designing Highways and Transportation Projects.
- Conducting various Site Surveys.
- Preparing detailed reports and technical documentation.
- Utilizing AutoCAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for drawing production.
- Performing data analysis and evaluation.
- Engaging in professional development with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).

Candidate Profile:
This position is ideally suited for school leavers with GCSE or A-Level qualifications (or equivalent) who can demonstrate:
- A proactive and positive attitude.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to meet deadlines.
- A keen interest in Highways and Transportation projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Familiarity with IT design software, particularly AutoCAD.
- Any relevant work experience in the engineering field.
