Private Client Tax Manager Job Description

We are partnering with a Top 50 Practice Accountancy firm to find an experienced Private Client Tax Manager or Senior Manager to oversee a portfolio of clients, focusing on advisory work involving Inheritance Tax, Estate Planning, Trusts, and International tax.


Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm (plus overtime)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage an advisory portfolio of private clients, maximizing fee income while supervising the billing department.
  • Draft reports and provide comprehensive advice solely for private clients.
  • Report writing and providing detailed, high-quality advice to clients.
  • Relationship building with team members and clients.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of staff.
  • Effectively delegate work to others within the team and take responsibility for quality control while meeting crucial deadlines.

Requirements:
Relevant professional qualification such as CTA (or equivalent).
Good experience of private client tax advisory services.
Demonstrate broad and strong technical tax knowledge and experience, specifically in Inheritance Tax, Estate Planning, Trusts, and International tax matters.
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Organised and methodical with strong numerical abilities.
