Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced AV Hardware Technician to join our team in Sheffield. As an AV Hardware Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment for live events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and select key AV equipment used in customer installations, including microphones, amplifiers, speakers, display screens, media players, encoders, touch controllers, digital audio processors, and HDMI matrix.
- Set up and maintain testing of AV new hardware and equipment.
- Provide 3rd line technical support for hardware problems, performing root cause analysis.
- Create and manage project plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with R&D, Desktop, and Engineering teams to improve existing hardware and design new solutions.
- Develop instruction manuals and contribute to sales materials.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience as a Digital AV Technician, Audio Visual Maintenance Technician, or AV Installer at live events.
- Good technical understanding of AV Systems deployed to customer sites, including media players, encoders, touch controllers, HDMI matrix, and UPS.
- Proficiency with IT tools, with the ability to maintain documents in Word, Excel, and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Ability to work 5 days a week in Sheffield.
