Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing personal care and support to a 6-year-old girl with developmental and physical needs. Your primary focus will be on assisting her with daily activities, such as personal care, dressing, and meal preparation, as well as accompanying her on social outings and community activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to the child, including assistance with toileting, dressing, and meal preparation
- Accompany the child on social outings and community activities, such as trips to the park and trampolining
- Assist the child with mobility and handling, as needed
- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the child and her family
- Communicate effectively with the child's family and other professionals involved in her care
Requirements
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care
- Considerate, caring, and trustworthy, with the ability to build strong relationships with the child and her family
- Common sense and initiative, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments
- Full driving license and access to a car, to transport the child as needed
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities
