About the Role

MFS Investment Management is seeking a highly skilled Investment Product Lead Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our investment team, you will be responsible for providing support for MFS' investment strategies, running and analyzing fixed income data, and collaborating with the Sr. Strategist and investment team to maintain working knowledge of their product coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage incoming inquiries on MFS' products, including retail, offshore, and institutional sales channels, and partner with Sr. Strategists on these inquiries.
  • Run and evaluate various portfolio data, interpret performance attribution analyses, and understand investment philosophy, process, and outlook to formulate investment themes for client and prospect communications.
  • Aid in the retention of client assets by responding to product-related inquiries from clients, consultants, professional buyers, and financial advisors in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of a variety of investment sectors, including investment grade and high yield corporate credit, as well as securitized debt.
  • Support the creation of product-related materials, including presentations and portfolio commentaries, and other materials, such as product profiles and competitive analysis.
  • Interface with other MFS groups outside of Global Product, including investment management team, Compliance, Legal, Client Service, and reporting teams, and manage and maintain strong relationships with these partners and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent investment industry experience.
  • 5+ years of investment marketing and communications experience with a strong background in presenting analytical investment information and economic trends in the market.
  • Advancement toward MBA and/or CFA encouraged.
  • A global perspective and/or language skills viewed favorably.
  • Working knowledge of investment strategies and markets.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong relationship management expertise.
  • Proven ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of analytical tools, such as Morningstar Direct, eVestment Alliance, Factset SPAR, and Bloomberg.
