Corrigenda is seeking a motivated and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Portsmouth office, focusing on the University of Portsmouth contract. The ideal candidate will oversee all contractual and financial elements of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with senior management on the contract and provide updates to the Commercial Manager.
  • Prepare monthly financial applications.
  • Manage the financial and technical dimensions of the contract across various work streams, including procurement, invoicing, payments, cash flow, and cost management.
  • Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to gather quotations.
  • Optimize costs while maximizing value to enhance profitability.
  • Draft high-quality quotation letters.
  • Verify quantities and rates for accuracy in both in-scope and out-of-scope opportunities.
  • Assess costs and provide recommendations on alternative proposals.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Conduct job cost reporting from initiation to completion.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Self-driven and proactive.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • Methodical and analytical mindset.
