Job Description

As a Data Engineer at Sphere Digital Recruitment, you will play a crucial role in shaping the data infrastructure of our innovative media agency. With a strong commitment to leveraging data for impactful results, we offer an environment where you can grow and make a significant contribution to industry-leading projects.

Our client partners with leading global brands, delivering tailored solutions that drive engagement and performance. As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support the agency's analytics and reporting needs.

You will collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure data availability and accuracy. Your expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud will be essential in managing and processing large datasets.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Data Engineer who is up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering. If you have a solid understanding of database systems, data modelling, and ETL processes, and experience with big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support the agency's analytics and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure data availability and accuracy.
  • Develop and optimise data architecture, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the business.
  • Work with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud to manage and process large datasets.
  • Implement data governance practices to ensure data quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring they run efficiently and reliably.
  • Develop automated processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, preferably within the media or digital marketing industry.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in building and optimising data pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • A solid understanding of database systems, data modelling, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark is a plus.
