About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team at Wellers Accountants. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional accounting services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and undertake audits and accounts work, both in-house and at client locations.
  • Review work and assist in the training of junior accountants.
  • Work closely with Wellers Accountants Managers and Partners to deliver high-quality services to our clients.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant who has a strong background in accounting and auditing. You will have:

  • Experience working within a generalist accountancy practice managing a portfolio of clients varying in both size and sector.
  • ACCA or ICAEW qualification.
  • A thorough understanding of the fundamental principles underpinning bookkeeping, accounts, audit, and tax, and a good current compliance knowledge.
  • Proficiency in accountancy and office software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Excel, etc.).
  • A proactive approach with strong commercial awareness.
