Environmental Compliance Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Environmental Graduate or equivalent with knowledge of ISO 14001 to maintain and monitor compliance activities, ensuring all regulatory and corporate requirements are fulfilled, documented and communicated in a professional and supportive manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all necessary requirements to retain the Branch ISO14001 accreditation
  • Collaborate with Business Units and the Branch Support Team to enhance compliance awareness and processes
  • Oversee Branch environmental audits and ensure they meet the standard requirements
  • Attend European environmental meetings
  • Support MELCO Environmental Audits
  • Report Battery and WEEE data on a quarterly basis as a regulatory compliance obligation
  • Support and document nationwide Fixed Asset audits
  • Administrate various Compliance training activities, including e-Learning
  • Carry out general administrative duties
  • Upload and maintain policies and procedures on the Branch intranet
Requirements:
  • Experience working with ISO 14001 in a similar role
  • Competent and confident using MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Fast learner
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team
  • Experience of working to deadlines and motivating/monitoring others
  • Experience of working in an office environment
  • GCSE level or equivalent education
