Design Manager Job Description

Edina is seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team in Stockport, Manchester. As a Design Manager, you will play a key role in profitably managing the Edina UK Sales and Projects Business, ensuring that projects are designed in a cost-effective way.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing the engineering design activities of the Sales and Projects business.
  • Produce mechanical, electrical, and process engineering design packs to enable successful design, build, and manufacture of Combined Heat and Power and Tri-generation Plants.
  • Provide input and support throughout the full life cycle of a project from sales to service.
  • Manage a team of Design Engineers and ensure the successful completion of individual projects within budget.
Requirements:
  • Hold an HND/C Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Have 3 years' experience in a similar role with a focus on power generation.
  • Be a competent engineer with experience in power generation, process engineering, electrical distribution, and building services.
  • Have previous experience in successful technical management and development of Energy Projects.
  • Have strong resource planning skills and effective IT skills, including Microsoft Office Packages and AutoCAD.
