Job Title: Trim Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Trim Development Engineer to join our team at Futura Design Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing trim solutions for our OEM client based in Gaydon.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our client's Technical Specialist to deliver feasibility studies through physical seats.
  • Develop and implement trim solutions for seat development, including patterning, sewing, and component trimming.
  • Work with our client's production team to ensure seamless integration of trim solutions into their manufacturing processes.
  • Provide engineering support for seat functionality, including airbags and climate control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in automotive seat development, including patterning, sewing, and component trimming.
  • Strong understanding of production and manufacture processes for seats.
  • Excellent engineering skills, including knowledge of textile materials and processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret rendered designs, 3D CAD, drawings, and colour call outs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Knowledge of mass production processes and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of textile materials and processes.
