Job Title: Management Accounting Team Lead

As a key member of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust finance team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting financial recovery and driving business excellence through the development of best-in-class finance reporting and business analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establishing a Robust Management Accounting Infrastructure: Develop and maintain a comprehensive management accounting infrastructure, ensuring seamless support for Heads of Finance and Business Analysts.
  • Managing the Budget Reporting Cycle: Oversee the Trust's monthly budget reporting cycle through the General Ledger, providing accurate and timely budgetary control information to all budget holders.
  • Producing Variance Analysis and Forecasts: Generate insightful variance analysis and forecasts to facilitate the monthly review of financial performance by the Assistant Director of Finance.
  • Supporting Reporting and Analysis: Collaborate with the Head of Reporting to produce financial reports for the Executive Team, Trust Board, and Monitor, as well as income and expenditure reports for divisional and other purposes.
  • Driving IT Solutions: Take a leading role in the development and implementation of IT solutions for Trust-wide reporting, consistently reviewing and updating IT solutions for reporting to managers and clinicians.
  • Providing Training and Development: Assist the Senior Finance Team in designing and providing training to Budget Holders, ensuring they have the necessary skills to effectively manage their budgets.

As a Management Accounting Team Lead, you will be expected to quickly develop an understanding of the business of healthcare provision to support and lead on quality decision-making through the provision of excellent analytical support.
