Job Title: Senior Digital Forensic Specialist

ARM is seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Forensic Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Digital Forensic Unit, you will play a critical role in supporting the work of our team by contributing to building lab capability and Forensic Science Regulator compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance processes and standards, adhering to ISO 17025 and the FSR Code of Conduct.
  • Develop and implement methods, validation plans, training materials, and competency assessments for digital forensic tasks.
  • Provide guidance and support to Digital Forensic Specialists on complex technological and digital forensic matters.
  • Present findings, developments, and recommendations to improve the timeliness and quality of business activities.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning, review, and coordination of DFU Examiner Training.
  • Develop the lab QMS, including methods, validation plans, training materials, and competency tests.
  • Provide witness statements and attend Court to give evidence in relation to digital forensic work undertaken.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience as a Digital Forensic Investigator/Examiner.
  • Experience of digital forensic casework and delivering results to customers.
  • Extensive knowledge of digital media, operating systems, storage, and devices.
  • Understanding of evidence handling procedures and principles.
  • Understanding of the Forensic Science Regulator's codes as they apply to Digital Forensic acquisition, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Certification or equivalent experience of using one or more of the following forensic tools: EnCase, Nuix, Cellebrite, XRY, FTK, or similar.
Desirable:
  • Experience of working in a Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice environment.
