Pioneering People is seeking an experienced FP&A Manager to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leading the budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes. You will develop financial models for P&L and map them into consolidation tools, and develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes
  • Develop financial models for P&L and map them into consolidation tools
  • Develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control
  • Gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for financial budget, quarterly forecasts, and strategic plan for Europe Fleet P&L
  • Coordinate and review headcount reporting and analysis while working with HR business partners to ensure accurate and complete source data in the system
  • Own the technical analysis process to determine and evaluate present and future financial performance on P&L
  • Oversee the periodic meetings with financial controllers of the various business units
  • Understand and document the financial performance for the month end, being able to challenge the financial controllers for accuracy of the figures and explain variances to forecast
  • Coordinate and prepare consolidated monthly pack for Corporate and Business review
  • Provide clear and concise commentary on functional P&L and cost bridges
  • Own the monthly department expense packs review process and ensure accurate and timely distribution to budget holders
  • Coordinate and review KPI reporting
  • Manage analysis for risks and opportunities
  • Own the financial reporting and output of the (MS Access & Alteryx) databases
  • Participate in automation and simplification of process and systems
  • Ownership of Europe Fleet HFM mapping and consolidation into Corporate
  • Own the technical financial reporting process to Corporate Finance and liaise with Corporate team to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Motivate and develop members of team
  • Actively support Director of FP&A and budget holders

Requirements:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA) and post-qualification experience
  • Experience of working in financial modeling and understanding of cost planning, ideally in a FP&A Manager role
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Experience in pan-European business and corporate reporting
  • Comfortable working within tight deadlines and turning information around quickly
  • Strong organization skills and self-review discipline
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Ability to make quick and tough decisions
