Job Title: Maths Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our team at a Catholic secondary school in Tunbridge Wells. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths to a range of pupils with mixed abilities.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have excellent classroom management skills and be able to deliver lessons in an enthusiastic and engaging manner. They will be adaptable, able to think on their feet, and have a good understanding of behaviour management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build nurturing and meaningful relationships with pupils.
  • Be comfortable working with small groups to support pupils with their learning.
  • Experience and a good understanding of behaviour management and how to implement this into your practice.
  • Support with individualized student programs.
  • Great personality who can engage with children.
  • A passion for education and for making a difference in education.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (ECT accepted)
  • Extensive knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Ability to effectively develop the confidence, language, behaviour and social skills of pupils between the ages of 11-18
  • Quick thinking with the ability to adapt with ease to new environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, colleagues, and parents effectively.
  • A good understanding of behaviour management and how to implement this into your practice.
