Dunblane Kids Club is seeking dedicated Term-Time Childcare Practitioners to support the delivery of a high-quality out-of-school program in accordance with Care Inspectorate Regulations and Guidelines.

Contract Type: Term-time (with optional holiday hours available)

Working Hours: 15 hours per week

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday

Shift Details:

  • Morning: 8.00am – 9.15am
  • Afternoon: 3.00pm – 5.30pm

Essential Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant qualification, such as HNC, SCQF Level 7 equivalent, or SVQ3 in Childcare and Education or Social Services (Children and Young People).

Previous experience in a similar role is required.

First Aid Qualification is necessary or the willingness to obtain it.

Registration with the SSSC and membership in the PVG Scheme is mandatory.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and engage in diverse play activities that cater to the needs, interests, and abilities of the children and young people involved.
  • Interact directly with individual children and groups within the program, both on-site and during outings.
  • Ensure safe transportation of children to and from the program as necessary.
  • Adhere to all project policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Assist in the cleaning and organization of play equipment and materials post-session.
  • Prepare snacks and refreshments for children in compliance with Health and Hygiene regulations.
  • Participate in training sessions as agreed with management.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of the play environment.
  • Attend relevant staff meetings and discussions.
  • Support the Manager and Senior Playworkers as needed.

As a Playworker, your role is vital in enriching and enhancing the play experiences for children. You will be responsible for ensuring that safe, engaging, and enjoyable play opportunities are available to meet the diverse needs of children and young people.
