Position Overview

This role is crucial for executing essential facilities management services across all properties within the London region. There may be instances requiring temporary accommodation away from your primary residence.

Key Responsibilities

As a Facilities Electrician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with clients and specialized subcontractors.
  • Overseeing and coordinating facilities management subcontractors as necessary, including reviewing, implementing, and completing relevant Health and Safety documentation, and delivering toolbox talks and contractor inductions.
  • Serving as the Authorised Person for pertinent duties such as low voltage electrical work, mechanical tasks, and working at heights.
  • Performing minor repairs and maintenance across various trades, including plumbing and grounds upkeep.
  • Managing the issuance and completion of scheduled maintenance tasks, ensuring timely execution and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Inducting, coordinating, and supervising subcontractors during the facilities management operations phase to ensure both planned and reactive maintenance is delivered effectively.
  • Preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure their adequacy.
  • Ensuring the maintenance of essential spare parts and stock levels.
  • Completing all tasks in accordance with established instructions, meeting required Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and operational procedures.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience within the facilities management sector.
  • Electrical qualifications including City and Guilds 2391 for electrical testing and inspection to the 18th Edition, and NVQ Level 3 alongside City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1 and 2.
  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship and possession of a current grade card.
  • Proficiency in IT to complete company documentation, such as maintenance reports.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback to management.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • A solid background in servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK Health and Safety regulations, including SMSTS or equivalent.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Capability to manage diverse tasks and associated supply chain activities.
