Police Staff Investigator PIP Level 1 Position

We are seeking an experienced Police Staff Investigator to join our team in Portsmouth. As a Police Staff Investigator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our front-line officers with investigative activities, including statement taking, CCTV review, suspect interviewing, and file building.
This is a non-case-holding role, and you will work closely with our Criminal Investigation Department to support the investigation of serious and complex crimes.
Key Responsibilities- Support front-line officers with investigative activities
- Conduct statement taking, CCTV review, and suspect interviewing
- Build and maintain files, including disclosure declarations
- Work closely with the Criminal Investigation Department to support the investigation of serious and complex crimes
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualified to PIP 1 or 2 or equivalent
- Experience as a Detective or Police Constable, Sergeant, Inspector, or equivalent
- Proven experience of working in an investigatory role, ideally with a working knowledge of Criminal Law and Criminal Justice procedures
