Reception Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Reception teacher to join our team at a Good Ofsted-rated school in Carterton, Oxfordshire. As a Reception teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our Reception students
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure academic success
  • Develop and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes social and emotional well-being
  • Collaborate with colleagues and school leaders to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Participate in school events and activities that promote student engagement and community involvement
Requirements:
  • Relevant teaching experience and qualifications, including QTS or equivalent
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to adapt teaching styles to meet individual needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with parents, staff, and students
  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum and its application in the classroom
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to school-wide initiatives
