Construction Underwriter Job Description

We are pleased to be working with a global insurance provider, who require an experienced Underwriter to join their growing UK construction / engineering department. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting cases in a consistent and technical manner within authority levels.

Candidates will act as the primary contact for medium-sized clients and support with larger-sized clients. A strong understanding of the UK construction market is essential, as well as a calm and flexible approach to work. The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications and strong commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite cases in a consistent and technical manner within authority levels
  • Act as the primary contact for medium-sized clients and support with larger-sized clients
  • Have a strong understanding of the UK construction market
