We are looking for an experienced Nuclear Power Plant Systems Project Coordinator to manage the execution of critical systems, structures, and components for our Sizewell C initiative. This role involves close collaboration with Supply Chain, Responsible Designer, and Quality teams, with a focus on areas such as Switchboards, Diesel Generators, Primary & Secondary Circuits, Auxiliaries, and Utilities. A significant emphasis will be placed on overseeing the engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning of essential equipment, particularly the Reactor Pressure Vessel.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:

  • Supervise the delivery of nuclear power plant systems, structures, and components within the designated program.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure the effective execution of post-financial investment contracts.
  • Manage the comprehensive process for the engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning of primary equipment, including the Reactor Pressure Vessel.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Responsible Designer, and Quality teams to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.

Design and Execution:

  • Collaborate with site-specific teams to facilitate the implementation of design modifications.
  • Ensure that all design changes comply with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Work closely with the Responsible Designer to incorporate design changes into existing systems and structures.

Contract Oversight:

  • Manage contracts related to the procurement and installation of nuclear plant systems and components.
  • Monitor contractor performance to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
  • Address and resolve any contract-related challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle.

Risk Assessment:

  • Identify potential risks associated with the delivery of nuclear power plant systems and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • Significant experience in project management within the nuclear power sector, particularly in the engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning of primary equipment such as Reactor Pressure Vessels.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of nuclear plant systems, structures, and components, including Switchboards, Diesel Generators, Primary & Secondary Circuits, Auxiliaries, and Utilities.

Skills:

  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Relevant nuclear industry certifications are a plus.
