Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial management and project accounting frameworks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Work closely with the existing team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance financial control and project management.
  • Provide expert advice on revenue recognition and cost management in a long-term project-based environment.
  • Support the development of the existing team and ensure a smooth transition of knowledge and skills.

About Our Client

Our client is a dynamic and ambitious business that is currently in a phase of substantial R&D and capital expenditure to position themselves for future growth. With up to 25 projects 'live' at any one time, each with a £multi-million project value, the financial management and project accounting for these significant investment projects is not of the standard that the business requires.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of revenue recognition and cost management in a long-term project-based environment.
  • Experience in contract accounting, preferably in EPC or construction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with the existing team and support their development.
