Payroll Systems Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Systems Analyst to join our team at our Support Centre in Lincoln. As a key member of our Payroll Team, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive payroll services to our colleagues across the Society.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the team with 4-weekly payroll processing for approximately 3,000 colleagues.
  • Ensure accurate and timely handling of payroll tasks, including sick pay, holiday pay, maternity, timesheets, starters and leavers, and deductions.
  • Carry out manual calculations for statutory and company sick pay, ensuring all payroll deadlines are met consistently.
  • Provide payroll data and reports for both the payroll function and the wider business.
  • Support database administration for TeamSpirit, setting up user accounts and resolving user queries.
  • Assist with the assessment of process changes and produce documentation to help colleagues with system usage.
  • Ensure full compliance with GDPR regulations and all Society policies and procedures.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries from colleagues across the business.
  • Support supplementary payroll systems after appropriate training.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience within a fast-paced payroll function using a market-leading payroll application for medium to large organisations.
  • Solid understanding of payroll rules and regulations, including tax, National Insurance, and statutory benefits.
  • Experience in system administration or a keen interest in developing system administration knowledge.
  • Preferably, the successful candidate will hold a payroll qualification or be AAT qualified.
