Position Overview: Karter Thomas Ltd is seeking a dedicated Housing Claims Analyst to join our team. This role is essential for managing and resolving housing disrepair claims effectively.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Service Improvement Officer to oversee all active disrepair claims.
  • Engage with housing management teams, tenants, and staff to ensure timely resolution of claims within legal parameters.
  • Supervise the operational execution of disrepair claims alongside another Project Officer.
  • Conduct preliminary site surveys to generate comprehensive reports for legal representatives, detailing necessary works and expected timelines.
  • Ensure high-quality execution of all works by performing on-site quality assessments with external contractors.
  • Carry out post-completion inspections to verify that all tasks outlined in the preliminary surveys and legal reports are fulfilled to a superior standard.

Candidate Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a valid driving license.
  • A qualification from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors is preferred.
  • Recent experience in a local authority or housing association setting is essential.
  • Proficiency in handling housing disrepair issues, including the preparation of CPR Part 35 reports, is required.
  • Ability to identify causes of disrepair and propose effective solutions is crucial.
