Job Title: QA Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our team at Synechron. As a QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications.
  • Perform manual and automated testing to identify and report defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure that testing aligns with project goals.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Jest, etc.
  • Track, document, and manage defects using bug tracking tools like Jira.
  • Conduct regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure that software updates do not negatively impact existing functionality.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and potential issues.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance overall quality assurance practices.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
    • Experience with manual and automated testing techniques.
    • Proficiency in using test automation tools.
    • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
    • Understanding of NextJS and API testing.

Work Arrangements:

This role requires the ability to work in the office at River House, near the Belfast City center, with occasional remote work arrangements.
