Job Description

We are excited to be recruiting a permanent role for a Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant to join our fast-growing FinTech client based in Cambridge.

The role will be a broad finance and accounts assistant role, best suited to a candidate at the early stages of their finance career (active AAT studier) looking for a rounded opportunity to work directly with the Head of Finance in a fast-paced and varied position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing day-to-day financial transactions
  • Preparing invoicing
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, variance analysis and monthly accruals / prepayments for main business units and overall company
  • Assisting with the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Assisting with the external audit and tax and ensuring the process runs smoothly
  • Assisting with the Research and Development claim alongside the technical experts
  • Fixed asset tagging and monitoring improvements
  • Assisting with the project office where necessary
  • Assisting with ISO audit tasks where necessary

Requirements:

  • Direct report to the Head of finance
  • Raise all purchase orders across the business and circulate weekly summary
  • Deal with any supplier queries
  • Maintain contracts database and ensure all contracts are renewed in a timely manner or notice given if necessary
  • Summarise data from timesheets to feed back into the business on a weekly basis
  • Prepare monthly customer invoices, collating data from various sources
  • Sending monthly reports to external parties
